Susan Banal, MSW, LICSW

Location: St. Louis Park

Susan earned her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Minnesota. Susan also has her Bachelor’s from the College of Saint Benedict.  She has 25 years of experience working in the mental health field. Prior to joining the MidWest Center team, she worked at the University of Minnesota Medical Center Fairview providing collaborative psychotherapy services to individuals, families and groups with a spectrum of mental, emotional and life transition issues.  Susan also provided outpatient therapy at Therapy Connections.  Susan enjoys working with adults on an individual basis as well as working with young adults facing challenges transitioning to college or other pursuits.

Susan’s Therapy Approach: “My therapy approach is client centered, collaborative, systemic and strength-based that integrates interventions and strategies that reduce distress, increase self-knowledge and attainment of life goals.”
